What is SAS?

SAS, or Statistical Analysis System, is a statistical software first developed at the University of North Carolina for research purposes. The original software was built by 4 faculty members with Dr Jim Goodnight being the current CEO/Owner of the SAS institute. The software was developed for academics and is now used for analytics and data management all around the world. It has many powerful functions and can be used for many purposes.
